Finn grew up in a family that expected big things from him, but doubted his ability to accomplish those things. He set his goals on being a fisherman, like his father; but that didn't please either of his parents. Tired of their double sided ideas and beliefs aout him, Finn set out to find his own destiny. Finn had grown up in the poor part of Cobalt, which was beneath the fisherman part of the town. He rarely ventured above and led his own group of rag-tag hooligans in the "ghetto" area. When he headed to the surface, his buddies let him go alone; and that was when he found Honor. Intrigued by the idea of traveling the world with his own personal group of pals, Finn tried to join them but was shot down. He was told he just wasn't cut out for the pirate life. It was nothing against him, it was all about his safety.
Aboard this ship was a lovely lass who had a on again off again relationship with the right hand man. Finn admired her, but she made her doubt in him clear. When Honor left, Finn set out to become a pirate. He worked for months before buying an old beat up ship and then managing to fix it. He painted Voyage on the side in blue, and suddenly things fell together. He began finding his crew members not long after, revealing dark secrets about those he left in the ghetto and gaining a new understanding of the social order that he grew to despise. His mission in life is to shut these standards down by having a group that wouldn't necessarily be seen without each other if they didn't share the same simple need of needing others to lean on.
Finn is way out of his league regardless of his good intentions. Despite being the founder of their ship, he allows Mayday (the same brown female that was his inspiration) take the lead and teach himself and the others about what being a pirate truly is. As much as they would like to believe it was only their escape from their sad lives back home, Mayday helps them realize it is hard work. Despite the complications that have arose, Finn does not regret his decisions and has no intentions of ever parting with his pirate lifestyle.

- Finn knows he isn't cut out to be a pirate, but that doesn't stop him from trying
Finn is a bold guy with an over active imagination. He enjoys pushing himself and others to reach their goals, and then surpass even their own limits. He has no qualms with making his opinion know, unless it's towards Mayday or Lara. He has a great respect for all those who deserve it, but has no issues with sicking "the boys" (meaning Zenith and Fever) on those who deserve it. He exercises his power over the others, as he is the captain, when he feels the need; but otherwise he allows Mayday to do the general leading. He is rather hyper when on land, as he does miss it, but on the ship he is calm and collected.
