Gage was the pup in his litter that felt a desire to be in charge. Often times considered a bully, when he was only trying to keep his siblings safe, it was accurate to say he was the "unwanted, unwarranted dad figure" among the litter. Drogon held little mind for any but himself, and really couldn't care less what trouble his siblings got themselves in. The two had an obvious distaste for each other at first, Gage not understanding how someone could be so careless to family; and Drogon annoyed that someone could care so much. Unfortunately, as their siblings paired off into unbreakable duos; it seemed the kids avoided Gage, and the pups avoided Drogon. In the beginning, the two opted to stay alone; but eventually opposites attract and the two started hanging out more and more.
Gage gave Drogon an understanding of care and love, though his affections were not directed towards his siblings; but instead Gage. Drogon gave Gage the insight to realize he was being much to fatherly towards his siblings who already had a dad, and made him decide it was time for him to fly the nest. His siblings asked him not to go to far, though they would admit him leaving would be a bit of a relief, and he agreed; moving two towns away: Cobalt. Drogon went with him, both for the adventure and because he was too attached to Gage to just let him go off alone.
The two arrived in Cobalt about a week after leaving their home town, having taken the scenic route. When they arrived, they found that Gage already had a job on a farm (his father had called in some favors) and the two moved into a shed in the back of the property. Life was simple, easy; and both boys enjoyed the relaxation when Gage wasn't working. Drogon had a semi-job working in the stables, but he didn't do much. It was more to make him feel useful, and to stop his griping.
Gage decided about 4 months after arriving in Cobalt, it was time to form relationships-- Drogon as his only company was getting irritating, boring and lonely. Gage ventured into town, leaving Drogon behind for his first trip. That's when he stumbled upon who Gage thought would be his best friend for life. Garth was a male like most others; a man's man with a no-bullcrap attitude. He and Gage meshed well... at first. The two became fast friends, and often worked together. Gage learned Garth came from a broken family, Garth learned Gage had a goat sidekick.
The three of them were always seen together, though Drogon was no longer Gage's closest friend. While this caused some rifts at home, due to Drogon's uncharacteristic jealousy, overall both boys; and Garth, were happy. Things continued like this for some odd months; with Gage and Drogon branching off to make more and more friendships. Drogon's closest friend ended up being a Panther named Phantom; who mostly kept to himself. The two spent hours in comfortable silence, and Drogon found someone to rely on besides Gage. Eventually, though, all the good things going on had to come to an end.
Gage would say it started with Gun. From the moment Gage entered Cobalt, he had a feeling he should steer clear of Gun. The wolf mix always had an angry look on his face, and he just didn't seem the one to mess with. Unfortunately, Gage never was good at keeping out of trouble; and made enemies with Gun on accident. Garth defended him as best he could, but the two males did end up fighting. Neither really won, though Gage earned Gun's respect and that was the end of that. Although the fight with Gun was over, Garth was now worried about being seen in public with Gage; Gun was the adopted son of a highly respected figure in the community and he feared he would be labeled.
Thus, the two began to drift. While Gage did have other friends; Sunny, Charlize and Reese among them, he found himself going back to Drogon. Interactions with Garth and Gage became few and far between, until Layla arrived. A wandering soul, the girl had come to Cobalt for unknown reasons to either of the boys; but was an eyecatch for both. Garth wanted to know her mostly for her beauty, while Gage seen knowledge he couldn't fathom swimming in her eyes. The boys found themselves in an unknown fight for the lass, and Gage made an even worse enemy out of Garth because of it.
Eventually, Layla made her pick: Gage, and the two began courting. This angered Garth, resulting in the boys fighting. This time, Gage was the obvious winner; sending the prissy boy on home with his tail between his legs. Of course, Gage harbors no hard feelings for his old friend; and wishes him nothing but the best.

Gage's Relationships
- Garth: Gage's first friend outside of Drogon, and his first friend made in Cobalt, these two have an extensive history. At one point, the two were inseparable; until Gage got into a fight with another male in the town named Gun. Garth simply didn't want his name linked to something bad, so stepped away from Gage. The bad blood between them continued and thickened with the arrival of Layla, a female that interested them both. Eventually, they fought due to Gage becoming fed up and since the two have not interacted.
- Sunny: Sunny and Gage are, admittedly, only friends because they work together. While they may not be seen in public together, or interact often outside of work, the two would say they are good friends; and helpful towards each other as often as possible.
- Charlize: Introduced to Charlize by Garth, Gage has always found her to be intriguing. He looked to her as a sister at times, though an enemy at others because of their equally stubborn and hard-headed personalities. Charlize isn't the one to cross, and Gage knows this. She did support Gage in his fight against Garth, despite Garth being her half brother.
- Levi: Levi, more or less, took Garth's place as Gage's best friend after the two had their falling out. He and Levi often times find themselves in trouble that they weren't all that smart for getting in in the first place, and often have Charlize (as Levi's adopted sister) and Drogon have to bail them out.
- Layla: Gage's love interest, Layla captivated him from the moment he laid eyes on her. The two, though differing in personality, always have fun with eachother and have taken their relationship slow. Neither of them would go so far as to say they're a couple quite yet, but there's definitely room for that in their near future.
Drogon's Relationships
- Phantom: Drogon only became friends with Phantom when Gage was, more-or-less, ignoring him for Gage. They don't have any deep, special bond, but they would consider each other good friends. They mostly sit in a comfortable silence for hours, though they will go to each other with their various problems when the need strikes.
- Roma: Drogon is definitely the "friend" side of this relationship. He made it his own personal mission to bring the timid deer out of her shell, and mostly she just ignores his attempts.
Gage's Personality
Gage is a protector and defender first and foremost. Stubborn and bull-headed, he gets what he wants; though he can be incredibly over-bearing. Despite having a very loving and active father, he liked to have control of his siblings; hence his move. Gage has always been a leader, from the moment he was born, and enjoys taking control of just about every situation.
Drogon's Personality
Drogon is one grumpy goat. He hates being looked at as "cute" and tends to make it known when he doesn't like someone. He deemed himself Gage's best friend, though the feelings are not always returned.
