Otter has led what one would call an exciting life, though in her own words it would be; "I haven't gone anywhere close to everywhere. That means I haven't lived to the fullest." She grew up in a tribe of ferrets that made travel their lifestyle. No one knows if it started as a defense mechanism (get ahead of the predator) or if the ones that started it just genuinely loved travel, which was the case with Otter and all of the fellow Ferrets with her at the time. Mostly, they used water to travel; seldom using land longer than necessary. Not only did it effectively cover their tracks, it was admittedly a lot more fun than walking.
Otter wasn't very old when she was caught by Anwen's grandparents. The Welsh Hillman Dogs had never seen a Ferret colored quite like Otter, and she intrigued them. Otter tried hard to get away, but failed in her attempt. She ended up getting taken back to the castle and gifted to Anwen. That was what made her stay. Something about Anwen made Otter feel safe, and almost at home; especially when she offered to take her home if she wished.
Otter said no, but did request returning to tell her family she was safe and happy. Anwen consented, and it was the beginning of Otters domesticated life. She learned a lot from Anwen, her favorite place being the library, and she enjoyed every moment spent in the castle. While she did miss adventures, she liked playing hide and seek and swimming in the pond. She made herself content with the food, feasting whenever she wished, and then snuggling into a comfortable bed she had been given whenever she was full.
But, eventually, she did become bored with the same tasks all the time. She understood Anwen was unable to leave, and that's why Sasha was such a welcome guest for both ladies. Anwen listened to stories upon stories told by Sasha, her days in the war; her sleep less nights, her journey to get to the castle. This was all made more interesting by the fact Sasha and Anwen were the same age, and it showed that while Anwen was royalty she had done little to enrich her life.
When Sasha decided her stay was up, Anwen and Otter said goodbye to eachother so Otter could get back the life she truly wanted and needed. Sasha didn't mind the company, venturing with the Ferret felt alright, and the two took to hiking unknown trails, swimming in glittering pools and making their own obstacle courses each day. Always in a new area. Eventually, though, Otter found herself craving more Ferret interaction and bid Sasha farewell. Currently, Otter is on the journey of a lifetime: returning to her birth family, hoping against hope there will be a place for her in the tribe.

Anwen: These two met when Anwens grandparents stole Otter as a gift for the in training princess. Otter originally intended to escape, but Anwen gave her the option of returning home; and for that she stayed. The two enjoyed many happy memories together, before bidding each other farewell when Otter chose to leave with Sasha. While Otter does look at her time with Anwen fondly, it was very much a pet and owner relationship.
Sasha: Sasha was more like a friend than Otter had ever had. The two understood each other on a unique level. Sasha helped Otter learn many things, and even helped her realize she couldn't trust everybody. Eventually, Otter decided she wanted to return to her family; but said it was something she had to do alone so she and Sasha bid eachother farewell.

Personality
Otter used to be what one would call naive. But, through her time with Sasha she realized you can't trust everyone. Now, Otter is a very intelligent, closed off at first, and happy individual. She enjoys traveling, singing and playing in water. Her ultimate past time is swimming, hence her name. Otter doesn't care much about what anyone thinks of her, though she does worry that her family will not allow her to come to them. She cares a lot for her family, even after all her time away from them, and wishes she had an easier way to find them than just venturing til she stumbled upon them.
